We remember it like it just happened. Sitting outside a frozen yogurt shop in the middle of a warm summer evening. Listening to her talk about his proposal plans. Watching her smile because she had no idea it was coming. We talked, and talked, and talked. We could’ve talked all night. About life, love, and everything under the sun that’d long since gone to sleep. It was like we were sitting with old friends, because we were. We went to high school with Jaymee. She cheered on the same track with Amy when we started falling in love. She had a front row seat to the whole thing. She got to read the prologue before the opening chapters had even been written. So, as we wore out our throats with words and cooled them with our favorite two flavors — Cake Batter and Salted Caramel mixed together with a little granola sprinkled on top for texture — it hit us that, in just a few months, we’d get to return the favor, and it felt so special, that even though we’d missed their prologue and first chapters, we’d be there to capture the major scenes of the opening act.
Jaymee and RB, thank you for welcoming us into the story of your life with fun laughs, big hearts, and wide smiles. We loved every second of your wedding day. You and RB are so special to us. We hope these images make you feel the way you made us feel every step of this wedding journey: loved.
The second the day started, we knew it was going to be a beautiful one. We absolutely loved Jaymee’s ivory, champagne, and blush color pallette.
Jaymee handmade all of her details and decor, including the invitations, which we loved!
Every detail of Jaymee and RB’s day was so personal. Jaymee is very close to her grandfather, who wasn’t able to be at the wedding due to his health. Jaymee’s parents surprised her with this necklace custom made by a local jeweler from his watch and gave it to her the night before her wedding so he could still be with her every step of the way. So sweet and thoughtful!
RB and his guys were cool, calm, and collected.
Lindsay (right) is RB’s best friend from childhood, and he helped make sure RB looked extra sharp. He was a groomsmen and the officiant for the ceremony! He lit up every room he walked into, warmed up every conversion he entered, and we left the day thinking that he’s probably one of the nicest people we’ve ever met. It makes a whole lot of sense why he and RB get along so well.
Keeping in line with all the personal touches of the day, Jaymee’s mom made the bow she wore on the back of her dress. Love it!
We l-o-v-e when our couples opt to do a first look! How priceless are RB’s faces? So sweet!
We SWOONED over the light and setting for portraits! Add Jaymee and RB to the mix and we could’ve shot there ALL DAY!
All of the girls chose unique dresses within the same color palette, which paired so well with the guys’ looks.
Love the history of this next shot. These four have been best friends since they were all in middle school. They’ve done life together every step of the way, and now all four of them are married!
The bouquets and boutonnieres were the perfect compliment to each other.
The first time she saw him down the aisle…
…and his reaction.
Their first portraits as husband and wife = Gah! STUNNING.
RB and one of his friends home made apple pie moonshine for all of the guests, including us! We love it when our brides send us home with gifts – especially desserts — and drinks that taste like dessert!
Three photos of the cupcakes. One for Amy. One for Jordan.
And one because we love cupcakes.
There’s just something about the way a man holds his wife in his arms… there’s just something about it…
The rest of the night, the party was roarin’! They kept us on an extra hour just to capture all the fun, and we had a blast! Such a great way to end such a fabulous day!
