One thing is for sure, freedom doesn’t come free. On the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, we stop to honor the men and women who bravely sacrifice in so many ways to defend and protect our freedom. I feel blessed to live in the greatest country in the world, and am thankful every day for the families who willingly put their lives on the line for us. To every veteran or active duty member, “thank you” doesn’t begin to do you justice, but for a lack of a worthy phrase, thank you for all you do.
I was honored to capture the wedding of Jackie and Matt at Luke Air Force Base with the incomparable Sam McConkey, and couldn’t think of a better day to celebrate the love and sacrifice of military families everywhere by sharing a glimpse into such a special day for two American heroes.
