About Amy & Jordan

We fell in love in high school. When there was nothing more important than the homecoming dance. When a driver’s license was a commodity. When passing notes was an art form. We were young little pups ready to take on the world.

Today, we are a husband and wife photography team based in Scottsdale, Arizona. We are passionate about marriage and blessed to do what we love together. If you would like to know more, visit our website using the link above.

Dinka and Dan’s Desert Botanical Garden Engagement

Wednesday, May 15th, 2013

Trust. It’s one of the most important parts of every relationship, because it’s the down payment on a lifetime of happiness. Trust requires you to be vulnerable with someone else, to let them hold your heart, to fall without a harness. You can’t have lasting love without total trust – and they have it.

Dinka and Dan are the embodiment of trust. The way he holds her, and the way she lets him. The way she laughs, and the way he looks at her. The way they are together every single minute. When the camera is clicking, and when it’s not. From the moment we met Dinka and Dan, they trusted us, too. We gave them permission to be themselves, and they gave us permission to document it. We trusted each other, we fell together, and the camera caught them… falling in love all over again.

Dinka and Dan, we had so much fun with you because you reminded us of how much fun life is when you trust. When you laugh. When you love. And, after all, the best way to be swept off your feet is by the very same person who’s going to catch you.

Scottsdale Photographers: Chris and Alyssa’s Engagement Party

Friday, May 3rd, 2013

It was love at first keystroke. From the moment Alyssa emailed us to photograph her engagement party (we love parties!), we fell in love with her humor and happiness (our two favorite qualities in people). We looked forward to every email exchange as Alyssa shared more details (and laughs) with us, and we couldn’t wait for the big night. (Did we mention that we love parties?)

When the night finally arrived and we walked into Alyssa’s home, we felt more like family than photographers. The warmth and kindness were as authentic as the Arizona sunset that evening. The decor was perfect. The food was delicious. The love was everywhere. As we watched Chris and Alyssa kick off the beginning of their life together with a bang, we couldn’t help but stop for a minute, take a deep breath, and remember why we love what we do. We can’t thank the Lernors enough for opening up their home to us. Here’s a little sneak peek of some of our favorites.

Scottsdale Engagement Photographers: Morgan and Ryan

Thursday, April 4th, 2013

She was having one of those days. One of those terrible, horrible, no good, very bad days. It was her parents’ anniversary, and everyone was missing her sweet mother. Her mom recently lost a courageous battle against cancer, and on that particular day, the hurt of missing her was extra deep. She was cooking dinner for her family, her back to everyone, as she was lost in thought. She turned around for a split second to find a sea of family members all pointing their cameras directly at her. Stunned for a moment, she didn’t know what was happening. As she looked down, she saw him there. On one knee. With a diamond ring in his hand. And as he asked her to spend the rest of his life with him, she noticed her mother’s diamonds on the band that he was holding. Her heart fluttered, and the rest of the day was nothing but a celebration of new beginnings.

We couldn’t be happier for Morgan and Ryan. They are perfect together, and it was so fun to capture their joy from behind our cameras. The four of us spent the whole shoot laughing, and then laughing, and then laughing some more. We found killer light, and they rocked it. Our only regret is we have to wait until next spring to get them in front of the cameras again. Until then, we’ll be counting down the days ’til their wedding!

Phoenix Engagement Photographers: Audrey and Pat

Saturday, February 16th, 2013

It was an unusually chilly day for Phoenix. The sky was full of clouds, and the wind was restless. It was one of those few days that really felt like winter around here. We bundled up as we met up with Audrey and Pat for their shoot, and the moment we saw them, our whole mood changed. The day was cold and gray, but they were warm and bright. We quickly realized it was a perfect recipe for a winter engagement session. The contrast of the dreary day against the warmth between Audrey and Pat made us swoon. They are truly best friends, and you can feel their connection a mile away. We spent the session exploring Phoenix’s own “Narnia,” taking advantage of mother nature’s wind machine, and providing as many opportunities for cuddling as possible. Audrey and Pat’s wedding is just a few weeks away, and we are counting down the days! Here’s a little look at our time together:

Scottsdale Engagement Photographers: Emily and Ian

Wednesday, February 6th, 2013

“I’ve heard it’s good luck if it rains on your wedding day… so what does it mean if it rains on your engagement session?” Emily asked as she laughed and huddled under the small umbrella. We all agreed: the rain meant double good luck, and extra romantic engagement pictures as a bonus. Every good love story has a little bit of rain, so we channeled our inner-Notebook and  ran with it. And when it came to telling Emily and Ian’s love story, we couldn’t have been happier to do it. It felt like fate. We were out with some great friends the night before our shoot at a comedy show in Downtown Phoenix, and who sits down just rows ahead of us? Emily and Ian! We couldn’t have planned it better if we tried. We got to relive all of Brian Regan’s best material together the next day, and spent the whole session laughing and enjoying our time with them. They were such a blast to shoot. They made the rain look good. We are so pumped for their November wedding! Emily and Ian, you are beautiful. Here’s to double good luck!

Phoenix Engagement Photographers: Christina and Ted

Wednesday, January 23rd, 2013

We first got to know Christina and Ted when we shot Christina’s sister’s wedding, and we fell in love with them immediately. They weren’t engaged then, but it took a two-second (very scientific) analysis of them together on the wedding day to know that theirs had to be coming just around the corner. So, needless to say, we were elated when we got the big news! We are so excited for their November wedding, and couldn’t wait any longer to get these two in from of our camera. We headed downtown to explore the unique, bright, colorful flavor the city has to offer, and we were not disappointed. We’re pretty sure city officials painted the walls just for us. We couldn’t have planned it better if we had tried. Christina and Ted, you are so beautiful together. Thank you for trusting our crazy ideas, and doing it with smiles on your faces. You two are more than awesome, and we can’t wait for your wedding!

Scottsdale Wedding Photographers – Love Shoot: Laura and Michael

Wednesday, November 28th, 2012

The best part about our job is getting to meet awesome couples like Laura and Michael. Couples who we have an instant connection with. Ones who are fun and sweet and madly in love. Couples that make our cheeks hurt from all the laughing, and the ones who trust us when we suggest squeezing them into an alley so small that it would  make Tiny Tim feel claustrophobic. Laura and Michael are exactly that kind of couple. Their personalities are infectious, and we couldn’t get enough of their smiles. If that weren’t enough, the camera l-o-v-e-s them. We really do have the best job. We enjoyed every second of our time with Laura and Michael. You can’t help but feel happy when you look at them. Here’s a little look at some of our favorites.

Scottsdale Wedding Photographers: Courtney & Nick’s Engagement Party

Wednesday, November 21st, 2012

You may remember Courtney and Nick as the beautiful engaged couple in our video. The best part about watching that video right now is they are engaged in real life, too! We couldn’t be happier for them, and we were honored when they asked us to shoot their engagement party. Everything they do is just first class, and from the candy bar, to the flowers, to the signature drink, everything was perfect. But the most first class part of the operation? The people. Their friends and family were so warm and welcoming. By the end of the night, our cheeks hurt from all the smiling and laughing we were doing with people we had never even met. They’re funny, sweet, and they are all so excited for Courtney and Nick. It’s hard to believe so much beautiful could be packed into one party.

Courtney and Nick are absolutely perfect together.

Next, we spent some time with these guys. They were a blast, and they rocked white pants (and just a little bit of Mo-vember) better than we’ve ever seen.

We could have shot these girls all day. It’s pretty crazy to have this much “wow” going on in just one frame.

Courtney’s and Nick’s parents are so sweet, and seem to come right out of the pages of a magazine. Are they stunning, or what?

We had to get one of whole crew!

After we finished up portraits, it was time to p-a-r-t-y!

And we couldn’t resist ending with this one. These Suns girls know how to work the camera. They’re too fun. Congratulations Courtney and Nick!

Phoenix Engagement Photographers: Liz and Jon

Saturday, September 22nd, 2012

They met in a time of Friday night football games and algebra notes, of prom dresses and cap and gowns. They met at a time of potential, of opportunity, of unanswered questions. They met when the whole world was in front of them, and they never looked back. They’ve been able to do this crazy thing, called life, together, and now, in just a few more months, he’ll finally be able to give her his name.

We first met Liz and Jon when they walked down the aisle together at Andy and Jackie’s Firerock wedding. Liz is Andy’s sister, and we had such a great time getting to know them both from behind the lens during Andy and Jackie’s big day. We were thrilled when they later contacted us to let us know that Jon had popped the question, and they were starting to plan a wedding day of their own. You can see from the moment you meet them what a great pair these two are. From the way he wraps his arms round her, to the way they laugh together, they’re a perfect match. High school sweethearts and best friends. We are so excited for their wedding in the spring, and couldn’t wait any longer to share a few images from their engagement session.

Phoenix Wedding Photographers: Heath and Rachel

Friday, August 31st, 2012

When we heard Heath and Rachel’s story as we discussed wedding plans, we knew that we they were a perfect match. Okay, maybe we were felt like their perfect match too. That was clear to us before we even met. When we were emailing back and forth about scheduling, Heath mentioned,”We’re flexible. (Not really, I can’t even touch my toes.)”

We met them for the first time moments before we began shooting their engagement session, and they were better than we even imagined. For one thing, they are GORGEOUS, so that didn’t hurt. And for another, we spent the entire time laughing, then trying not to laugh, and then laughing some more. We can’t wait for their wedding, so we can do it all again.

After we finished up with photos, they invited us out to dinner, and we had an absolute blast. After 2 hours in the August heat, all any of us wanted was some good air conditioning, a lot of ice water and some sustenance. We pigged out on spinach dip, swapped childhood stories, and found out we had a ton in common. From our taste in music, to our obsessive viewership of Modern Family, to family traditions and those stories that you can’t help but laugh at. We feel so thankful to do what we do, and get to meet amazing couples like Heath and Rachel in the process. We have SO many favorite images from our time together. Heath and Rachel, we cannot wait until your wedding! Here are some of our favorites from the day.
