They had us at rescue cats. And dogs. When we met with Michele and Michael for the first time to discuss their wedding next March at the Omni Montelucia in Paradise Valley, Arizona, they told us about their four-legged family members — and we loved every second of it. We rescued our cats, William Wallace and Mr. Carson, a few years ago. Ever since then, it’s been Jordan’s dream to add a few dogs to the mix so that they can all be best friends! (That hasn’t happened yet, but Michele and Mike gave us hope it’d be possible!)
Record rain in California this January meant LOTS here, too, but we couldn’t believe our eyes when we got Mike and Michele in the desert for their engagement session this week. It looked like a desert wonderland of Narnia-ness. SO GREEN. We’ve been desert dwellers since childhood and we can’t remember a time it’s bloomed like this. Except for the trails, the ground was covered in grass. GRASS! Which made for such a special and unique session, just like them.
Mike and Michele, from the moment we sat down together, we felt thankful that we get the privilege of serving couples like you for a living. You’re both so kind, genuine and down-to-earth. It’s easy to laugh with you — especially about the Rocky movies. We’ll have to dance to Eye of the Tiger again at your wedding. Well, maybe just Mike and Jordan. Haha! And they can talk in Russian accents together, like Ivan Drago, too.
Thank you for your easy-going personalities and focus on being in love and having fun. In our experience, those are two of the key ingredients for a successful day. We hope you love your engagement photos as much as we loved taking them — which is a lot! Our time together got us SO EXCITED for your wedding next spring with Life Design Events. Can’t it just be 2018 already?! Enjoy this season together. It’s one of the best.
