Friends, we absolutely loved this coral El Chorro wedding for Landry and Chris in Paradise Valley, Arizona. It was our second of three weddings for our infamous triple-header and triple-digit temperatures — and we loved every minute of it. Sure, the design spectacular and the decor was spot on. We knew it would be with our friend Danielle Goettl of Outstanding Occasions running the show. But it was more than that. It’s always more than that with our couples, because while the outward beauty of the people and pretty things is obvious, for us, it’s the inside that counts more, the good stuff. And these two (and their families) have it. In spades.
We knew it the first night we met Landry and Chris at Starbucks for a cup of coffee on a cold winter night. Her kind, sweet, easy going demeanor. His big, happy smile. After just a few minutes of looking them across the table, making small talk and getting to know each other, we thought, It’s no wonder that her third graders adore her. It’s no wonder she loves him. Because we felt it, too, that openness, that welcomeness, that makes you feel like family — right from the start. And that’s how their wedding day was, too. She was calm, cool, collected, ignoring the things that didn’t matter, focused on all things that did. He was emotional during the first look (like all guys are), but his tears told a story that even his words couldn’t: of a deep, sincere, eternal love for his bride, and now wife. From cover to cover, their wedding was a picture perfect. For the things the camera could see, and those it couldn’t.
Landry and Chris, thank you, from the bottom of our heart, for entrusting us with the most important day of your life. We felt inspired by your weddings vows and the words your pastor spoke. On the eve of our seventh wedding anniversary, it was a well-timed reminder of what matters most. Thank you, also, for just being you. For your kindness. For your caring. For your uncanny ability to make everyone around you feel special, important and loved. We certainly did. Every time we were with you. We hope you love looking at these highlights as much as we enjoyed putting them together for you.
