Ohhh, you guys! Do we have an engagement session to share today! Lindsey and Charles are from El Paso, Texas, but are getting married here in Arizona this winter. In fact, they’ll be our first wedding of 2017 — which is the perfect way to kick off the New Year! Charles serves in the military (thank you for your service, Charles!) and he loves the outdoors, too. He’s like the coolest, classiest cowboy you’ll ever meet, like John Wayne with a modern twist.
The entire session, Jordan peppered him with questions like, What are the best boots for two-stepping? and made statements like, This session is like a commercial for Wrangler jeans. Not the Brett Favre backyard football kind. Like, the super hot kind! To which Amy said her usual, “Oh, boy. Ohhh, Jordan…” Remember those Wrangler commercials, though? Real. Comfortable. Jeans. (And lest you forget, here’s a link to that classic commercial. You’re welcome.)
Lindsey, on the other hand, is as cute as could possibly be! She’s also an amazing journalist for the El Paso Times. She got to meet the Pope when he visited not too long ago (how many people can say that?!) and she just had a major exposé published about liver disease that she’s been working on for months. It’s so, so, so cool for us to get to see what our clients do as professionals, like this. Needless to say, we were super impressed — and learned a lot, too!
The light during golden hour at the end of this session was some of our favorite ever. Especially because, just at the end, a car drove through the dirt (in the first image) and kicked up a little dust, which made the light coming through the trees ever more magical than it already was. It just goes to show you that sometimes the things you think are small annoyances, like stepping aside every few minutes for cars to pass, are actually little blessings in disguise!
Lindsey and Charles, we LOVE you two! Thank you for making the drive all the way from Texas for your engagement session with us. It was beyond anything we could’ve hoped for, because you were even more joyful and in love with each other this time than you were when we first met — and we thought that was impossible! — because the way you look at her, Charles. Well. It’s something so sweet and special. We hope you love these as much as we do, guys, and we can’t wait until next January!
