We always love when couples have a spot in mind for their engagement session that is meaningful and personal to them, so when Kristin explained her vision for a snuggly session in her childhood neighborhood, we knew it was the perfect fit. Kristin grew up in a historic Phoenix neighborhood, just outside of The Biltmore (designed by the famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright), an area of the Valley on the Sun with real character. This was the place she used to play, where she went on imaginary adventures with her friends, where she learned to ride a bike, and eventually drive a car. This was the place where she grew up, the place that held all her memories, and now, only months away from a new last name, she got to bring her new world to the old one. Daniel and Kristin were made for each other. You can tell almost instantly. The way they laugh, the way he holds her, the way she looks at him. It was so special to photograph the two of them in a place that is so special to her… and now him. We loved all of the little nooks and crannies of this neighborhood. The overgrown vines, the tall trees, and the unique little pieces that added color, life and history to a city we all love.
Kristen and Daniel, thank you for trusting us with your memories. We are so excited for your wedding this spring! To hold us over until then, we thought we’d share a few of our favorites from our time together.
