Oh, friends! Today is a big day! We can’t even begin to describe how excited we are to finally announce the dates of our first-ever, full two-day, in-person workshop right here in Scottsdale, Arizona!
This has been a big dream of ours for quite some time. As most of you know, before we were full-time photographers, we were full-time elementary school teachers and hold a deep passion for education. Even though we left the physical classroom, the classroom will never leave us. We will always have a heart for teaching. There is nothing that brings us more satisfaction than helping photographers get from where they are to where they want to be, so that they can improve in their craft, grow in their businesses, and spend more time with the people they love. It’s why we create so much free content for photographers and why we love our 1 on 1 coaching sessions. But we’ve never been able to offer a way for photographers to get a look at our entire playbook in a jam-packed, two-day format, until now! We’ve had photographers asking us to do workshops for such a long time, but it was really important to us that we waited until we’d developed strong curriculum that we could proudly stand behind, and now, we are thrilled to announce this workshop! Day 1: Photography
The first day will cover our shooting process from start to finish, from finding great light and posing naturally, to nailing perfect white balance and exposure in-camera, to shooting details editorially and a step-by-step look at our post-processing system. Day one will also include a professionally designed portfolio-building styled shoot that will provide hands-on opportunities for you to put into practice what you’ve learned.
Day 2: Business
On day two, we’ll dive into everything that makes our business tick, from identifying and marketing to your ideal client, to running meetings, setting pricing, and increasing bookings, to building momentum, getting published, and so much more. Day two will also include headshots and one-on-one time with us for each attendee. We believe one of the best ways to build relationships is breaking bread together, so lunch and dinner are included on both days. Were looking forward to sharing meals with you!
