We’ll never forget meeting Meghan and Ben for the first time. We sat across from the table with coffee in hand, and within seconds, everything just clicked. It felt like we had been friends for years, and it wasn’t long before our cheeks were ACHING from all the laughter. They had us ugly-laughing until we were almost crying, and we were quickly wondering if we would ever be able to hold our cameras still on their wedding day, or if we would just convulse in fits of giggles the entire day. We KNEW we HAD to be their photographers. They have an absolutely amazing sense of humor, impeccable taste and the sweetest hearts.
We’d been looking forward to Meghan and Ben’s engagement session ever since that coffee date, so the minute we saw them, we got so carried away talking and laughing all over again that we had to remind ourselves to actually SHOOT! And the timing of our session couldn’t have been more perfect. All four of us just happened to be embarking on new, exciting adventures at the same time! Meghan got an incredible job opportunity in Chicago, so in the middle of all the craziness of wedding planning, they are packing their bags and moving to the big city! They’re going to brave the snow and hopefully eat enough pizza that we can live vicariously through them and pretend our pizza is as delicious as theirs. As for us, the day of their session was the day we closed on our first place! Meghan and Ben blew us away at the end of their session when they surprised us with an amazing bottle of champagne to celebrate our first night as official homeowners. It was beyond thoughtful of them, and made us just want to pinch ourselves that we get to work with people like Meghan and Ben and call it “work,” in the first place. Our incredible community of AJ Brides (and their AJ guys!) is such a gift, and we are honored to welcome these two cuties into the family! We’ll be counting down the days to their gorgeous El Chorro wedding this spring, but until then, here’s a little look at our time together!
