We’ve only known Cara and Kevin for a few months, but from our first correspondence with Cara in June, these have held a special place in our heart. Cara is a professional writer, which Jordan thought was so cool right from the start, since one of his secret ambitions is to write and publish a book some day about marriage. We went back and forth with Cara over email for months before we ever met in person and that was enough, because her personality jumps right off the screen with every word. We seriously found ourselves getting excited every time our email dinged and we saw her name, because we knew it some witty retort to something we’d written. It was fantastic. We were all Internet pen pals! Kevin is an engineer by trade (a really good one!), but he’s got just as much personality as Cara, and a killer smile, too, just like her! Not exactly what you think of when you think engineer! Cara’s most recent writing assignment was reviewing all of the local resorts, including their spas and restaurants.
PAUSE! Her job was staying at 5-star resorts, tasting all the food, trying all the treatments, lounging by the pool, and living to tell (and write) about it! Confession: I think we were mistaken before when we said we have the greatest job in the world as wedding photographers. Cara’s might be it!!
Since that was her writing assignment, it was important to her that we showcase some of her favorite properties in her engagement photos and wedding pictures, too, which is why we did her engagement session at the prestigious Omni Montelucia and are shooting her wedding at the Royal Palms. Here’s the fun thing: their wedding is in two weeks, so we’ll (and you’ll) be seeing them again really soon!
Cara and Kevin, we didn’t think it was possible for you two to be as good in person as you were through the written word — and we’re not saying one is better than the other — but we are saying that we feel so thankful to have a relationship with written you and in-person you, because both are equally as awesome. Here are a few highlights of our time together on your engagement session. We hope you love them as much as we do… and we hope our spelling and grammar in this post is correct, too, because you’ll know if it’s not!
