November is the month for thanks, and we’re beyond thankful today (more like honored and humbled) to announce that we’re featured in the November edition of a magazine for photographers: Shoot & Share Magazine. The article is called “Leap: 10 Practical Steps for Going from Part-Time to Full-Time,” and we just about died over the gorgeous look and design of the magazine. We really can’t even begin to describe how exciting it is to see it all come together!
The article follows our journey from our days as high school sweethearts to our career as a full-time, husband and wife, wedding and portrait photography team. If you aren’t familiar with our story, you can find out more about us here:

Shoot & Share is more than an incredible magazine. Shoot & Share is an international group of photographers committed to serving our clients and each other to make a positive difference in the world. It’s about giving back. So, when the editors contacted us last month and asked us to share some practical tips to help other photographers make the leap from part-time to full-time, we jumped at the chance to do our part. We’re teachers at heart and we’ve become really passionate about sharing what we know with other photographers, so there couldn’t have been a better fit!
If you’re a photographer who wants to make the leap from part-time to full-time, or you’re just looking to improve as a person and professional, we’ve got some free resources for you here:

Also, make sure to sign up for our newsletter where we’ll share tips, tricks and encouragement for photographers. You can also check out the other series in our “For Photographers” section, including topics like what’s in our bag, which lenses we love and how to find and use great light.
For us, helping our peers is a win-win, because the better we make each other, the better clients everywhere get served — and, at the end of the day, it’s not about the people behind the camera, it’s about the people in front of it. Serve on!
