Look out, Hollywood! A new pre-teen queen is on the rise. Cassidy Hardacker. This spirited little spunky eight-year-old is on her way to stardom. Seriously. A lot of people think they have what it takes. She. Really. Does. I had the privilege of spending the afternoon photographing Miss Cassidy. Sometimes she was a cute, funny little girl, climbing trees and making silly faces. Other times she was a mature, serious, actress-in-waiting, taking professional advice like a, well, professional. We giggled like friends and connected like colleagues. I loved each and every minute. How could I not? I got to photograph the beginning of something – someone – BIG. I just hope she remembers me on the red carpet! Her sweet loving parents, Lori and Jeff, and her older brother, Ryan, watched the afternoon unfold. Mom slid her sunglasses off just long enough to reveal the mist in her eyes at the sight of her little girl living her dream. What she couldn’t conceal was the bond between her and her daughter. Dad had a “Wow, that’s my little girl!” look on his face all day. A combination of nostalgia, hesitation, and pride reflected in his warm, caring eyes – the same ones he gave his daughter.
