One year ago, Jordan and I got THE call. It was time. We rushed to the hospital faster than you can say “wrapped around her finger” to meet her. Our Little Liv. I’ll never forget seeing her for the first time. She stole my heart in two seconds flat. I was such a proud auntie.
For as much as I know I sound like one of those cranky old people asking anybody who will listen, “Where did the time go?” or throwing out life cliches like, “It goes so fast,” I have to say seriously…where did the time go? It goes so fast. We celebrated Liv’s first birthday with a lot of sugar, a lot of sprinkles, and a whole lot of pink. It was so much fun to capture her wobbly steps on her cute little rolly-polly legs, and I couldn’t help but laugh as she cried tears of terror as we set her birthday cake in front of her. Girl does not do messy. She knows what she wants. And she sure doesn’t want pink sticky icing all over her hands. Luckily her two year old cousin stepped in and did the dirty work of birthdays for Liv, but we’re going to make sure she gets her hands a little dirty next year. . Little Miss Olivia, I love you so much. I had so much fun taking a day to celebrate my precious niece’s first year on earth, and pray every day for your future. Happy birthday, sweet pea.
